The first case of car rental dates back to 1916.
Joe Saunders, owner of a small auto repair shop in Nebraska, rented out a Ford T with an odometer attached to the front left wheel. Saunders felt interest in the service and began to develop this line of his business.
By 1925, he owned 25 rental stations in various states. The rental price in his companies was 10 cents per mile.
